Are your systems resistant to storm damage ?

Not at all. Solar Source Australia’s project quote is inclusive of all the costs commencing from product supply, system installation, inspection and its service and maintenance.

Are your systems resistant to storm damage ?

Can I add further Solar panels to my existing system in future ?

It is the most advisable for you to install the system of its highest capacity relative to your power consumption, for the maximum efficiency. Based on the variations in your consumption, you can certainly add more panels to your system and it might subject to an upgradation, based on the respective regulations from the authorities.

Do I need a new electricity meter ?

You will need a new bi-directional (import-export) meter if you wish to take advantage of the feed-in tariffs. Most of the existing meters these days are smart meters and in most cases, they only need a re-programming. However, Solar Source Australia will not be responsible for any additional cost to be incurred in respect of meter upgrade if needed.

Does my grid-connected solar power system require batteries ?

Not necessarily. Any extra power produced by your system is transmitted to central power grid, thus to your power distributor. You will receive credits and feed in tariffs for that power. When your consumption exceeds the solar power production, you will be receiving the power from your distributor. Owing to the price of the batteries, they are not really worth adding to your systems, in most cases.

How long does it take to install my system ?

We always ensure that our solar power systems are installed in the shortest amount of time possible. As soon as we receive all the required approvals, Our general installation time frame ranges from 3 weeks to 4 weeks.

What about quality and safety ?

Our solar systems are installed to meet all the power guidelines and safety standards and are inspected by a qualified and accredited Inspector and the systems are issued a “Certificate of Electrical Safety” before the inspector officially turns on the system.

What is the difference between kW and kWh ?

kW stands for kilowatt or 1,000 watts. It is a measure of power. The solar power system is rated per the number of watts it can produce under standardized conditions.kWh stands for kilowatt hour. It is a measure of used energy. If we use a 1 kW heater for one hour, we have used 1 kWh of energy.

What are the main types of residential Solar power installations ?
